The Glades Guest House Terms
1. Prices
Accomodation rates are per room and includes breakfast.2. Bookings
Bookings must be guaranteed for the first night’s accommodation by payment of a deposit or by agreement in writing. For major exhibitions or shows, full prepayment is required.3. Arrival and departure
Rooms are available from 4pm on day of arrival unless prior arrangements have been made. Rooms to be vacated by 10am on day of departure.4. Cancellations and non arrivals
48 hours notice is required for cancellation of a booking. There is no charge and any deposit will be returned. In the event of a cancellation after this time, a charge for the first night’s accommodation will be levied. If The Glades cancels before 48 hours of the scheduled day of arrival, liability to the guest will be no greater than the amount paid as deposit paid by the guest. If cancellation by The Glades takes place after 48 hours, arrangements to find alternative accommodation of equivalent price and location will be made, insofar as is reasonably practical in all the circumstances.5. Payment
Settlement of the bill in full, less any advance payment must be made on arrival. Cheques must be accompanied by a valid cheque card. Company cheques are not accepted without prior clearance. Accounts may only be forwarded for payment after formal acceptance by The Glades for credit facilities. All sums are due for payment, by return, on presentation of the invoice. In the event of Euro Cheques, any handling charge levied by the bank will be borne by the guest.6. Car Parking
The Glades accepts no responsibility for damage to, or theft from, vehicles parked on the drive.7. Behaviour
The Glades reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of guests. Guests must be prepared to modify their behaviour as requested or the booking will be terminated immediately without any liability on The Glades part to refund or compensate.8. Non - smoking
The Glades operates a strict no - smoking policy.9. Statutory Regulations
The Glades is subject to statutory controls, in relation to fire, health and safety and hygiene. These must be adhered to by the guests.10. Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to their room, furnishings, utensils and equipment, caused by any act, default or neglect of the guest and will be charged accordingly. Visitors are not allowed in guest’s rooms under any circumstances.Confirmation of a booking by the guest is deemed acceptance of the terms. These terms will be construed in accordance with English Law.
